    This is a Russian Soldier of the 6th soviet Army SSH40 pattern helmet which has a large impact hole- battle damage in the top of it the shell is rusty with some rust holes but nothing to bad it is very solid not braking up or falling apart. The helmet is missing its liner but does still have its liner ring in place and the very rare bit it does have lots of green paint remains and some white paint over the top of it which is the winter camouflage paintwork clear to see it has been very nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. This helmet was recovered from the Dom river lost in battles against German 4th Panzer Army recovered from the Dom river defended by them in January 1943 during the battle of Stalingrad The helmet comes with 2x A5 laminated information sheets with pictures.
