    Battle damaged with impacted hit front plate from American GMC CCKW 2 half ton 6x6 cargo truck with front winch blown off with a impact hit. The very large and heavy plate which has folded over with damage but still has some original paintwork and colour left it is rusty but solid with mostly surface rust no real damage other than the battle damage it has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The lorry front plate was recovered from the site of the battle on the Longvilly road near Bastogne in the Ardennes Forest from the scene of the battle of the bulge in the winter of 1944-1945.A very nice relic from this famous battle and Hitler's last big offensive of the war. The plate comes with A5 laminated information card.

    The battle on the Longvilly road took place on the 19th December 1944 when an American force under Colonel Cherry came under attack by German Panzer Lehr Division along the road between Longvilly and Bastogne the Americans lost around 200 vehicles in the battle.
