British 18 pounder shell case with all its markings dated 15th May 1917 very nice condition found on the famous Somme battlefield of 1916-1918 this would have been fired during the later battles on the Somme battlefield

This is a British 18 pounder shell case which is nice later war production The case is in nice condition nicely clean still retains most of its shiny brass colour with no damage but with a bit of discolour but even the inside is fairly clean and has all its original markings on the bottom of it including the date 15th May 1917 and on the primer there are some maker markings. The case was found on the Somme a very nice condition this would have been fired during the later battles on the Somme battlefield of 1916-1918 on the western front.
