This is a British soldiers en trenching tool axe head it is missing its wooden handle this has rotted away. The head which is in relic but solid condition it is rusty but not crumbling or braking up it has been nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection . The axe head was recovered in September 2018 from the area that was Guillemont Station on the July-August 1916 battlefield on the famous Somme battlefield of 1916.Below picture is the shattered remains of Guillemont Station in 1916 after the battle.
