This is a unusual find from the battlefield a British 1915 sapper shovel head which is missing the wooden handle. The head is in relic but solid condition it is rusty with rust damage but is not crumbling or braking up it has been nicely cleaned since its recovery and is perfect for display or any collection. The shovel head was recovered was recovered in September 2018 from the area that was Guillemont Station on the July-August 1916 battlefield on the famous Somme battlefield of 1916.Below picture is the shattered remains of Guillemont Station in 1916 after the battle.
