Pair of internal engine parts from British RAF Short Sunderland number L2167 of 210 squadron which was shot down and crashed at Maidalen Finnemarka in Sylling, west of Oslo on the 9th April 1940 in Norway.

This is a very nice pair of parts which are mag allow made one is a hollow connector the other looks like a small electrical magneto from the hart of  one of the engines they are nice clean condition. The parts which still retain a bit of there original colours they have slighly ripped and bent by the impact the crash they are in very nice clean condition the parts are around 3-4 inches long and are perfect for display or for any collection. The parts which are very hard to find from this particular aircraft which is a British RAF Short Sunderland number L2167 of 210 squadron which was shot down and crashed at Maidalen Finnemarka in Sylling, west of Oslo on the 9th April 1940 during the German invasion of Norway..The part comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards with crash site pictures of what it looks like now.The parts have come from a private collection which the items were collected many years ago directly from the crash sites he visited and found including surface finds or some aircraft that were dug out and recovered all these parts now available for the first time.

The float plane was performing a reconnaissance mission from RAF Invergordon to Fornebu (Oslo region). While flying away from Fornebu, the airplane was attacked by the pilot of a German Air Force Messerschmitt Me.110. The pilot lost control of the aircraft that dove into the ground and crashed in a dense wooded area. At a height of 3,000 feet, a crew member was able to bail out without any parachute. On the crash site, rescue teams found the dead bodies of nine crew while the jumper, a young sergeant, was injured. It appears his chute was absorbed by deep snow on the ground
