Very rare German Luftwaffe single decal M40 Helmet with white painted snow camouflage remains recovered from the airfield at Voroponovo which was in the 6th Army pocket during the Battle of Stalingrad in 1942-1943.

This is a fantastic condition German soldiers M40 helmet lovely relic condition that has no leather liner but has very clear to see eagle decal which is near complete.The helmet has some of its original white painted snow camouflage remains very clear to see the helmet has rust damage with some rust holes nothing to bad it is very solid and not braking up or falling apart at all it has been very well cleaned it is perfect for display or any collection a very rare to find in this condition from the battlefield. The helmet was recovered from the airfield at Voroponovo which was in the 6th Army pocket during the Battle of Stalingrad in 1942-1943.The helmet comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards.
