    This is a half a engine piston sleeve which has been cut in half it has part numbers on the top of it which are very clear to see.The sleeve section still has some dirt and muck attached but has been well cleaned it is 6 inches long and is 6 inches wide it still retains a lot of original colour the part has some damage from the impact of the crash but was well protected by the engine but has been cut away from a larger part it does have some rust damage from being in the English channel for 30 odd years but not to badly rusted with some light pitting it is still very solid not braking up at all and has been very nicely cleaned and perfect for display or any collection. This is a nice and a rare one for the collection this engine part comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards.The engine piston sleeve is from inside Junkers Jumo 211 engine that was recovered by fisherman in 1970’s from the English Channel near Selsey Bill and is believed to be from.

    German Ju87b-1 stuka dive bomber of 3/stG2 which was shot down at 1.00pm on the 16th August 1940 during the Battle of Britain. The plane crashed into the sea west of Selsey Bill it was shot down by RAF Hurricanes of Number 43 Squadron and 601 Squadron. The crew Unteroffizier P.Bohn and Obergefreiter J.Bader both were picked up by Royal Navy launch and captured.
