This is a rare to find from battle of Britain German bomber cockpit area internal part with a very nice maker label.The part is a Internal hand pump missing its handle which was used by the crew in an emergency .The pump is pretty much complete by the looks of it the outer case is a bit damaged from the impact of the crash but nothing bad it has most of its original colours but no paintwork.The part which has its maker label with most of the maker markings still on it fairly clear to see and read.The part is in very solid condition and has been nicely cleaned perfect for display it is around 10 inches long by 8 inches wide in size.The box comes from German Heinkel 111 bomber of 4/KG53 number 5536 shot down on the 29 October 1940 and crashed at Harwich in Essex during the battle of Britain. This part comes with 2 x A5 laminated information sheets with pictures and recovery photographs.

The crew abandoned the plane believing that they were over Holland. The plane was on a bombing sortie to bomb Gravesend Aerodrome. The plane crashed in the River Stour near Parkeston Quay at Harwich in Essex. The crew Obereldwebel K.Penzel bailed out and was captured unhurt. Oberfeldwebel H.Metzger,Unteroffizier F.Sigger,Unteroffizier J.Klitscher and Unteroffizier H.Luddecke all bailed out and were captured; slightly injured.
