This is a group of 6 aluminium airframe parts and engine parts which all have a lot of original colours and some green paintwork on the airframe parts,All parts have ripped and bent by the impact of the crash the 3 engine parts and internal bits all of the parts are still very solid not braking up or falling apart they have been very well cleaned perfect for display or any collection the parts are 2-9 inches long in size and rare to get such nice group of battle of Britain Hurricane parts. The parts come from RAF Hurricane P3538 with Czech pilot the plane was shot down on the 8th November 19140 and crashed at Mayfield. A very nice group of relics from the famous battle of Britain Hurricane .The parts come with a A5 laminated information sheet with photograph of the pilot .
RAF Hurricane P3538 the pilot was Polish Sergeant J.Kosarz the plane was shot down on the 8th November 1940.
Hurricane P3538 was with 302 squadron and was scrabbled from RAF Northolt at 13.30pm on the 8th November to join up with 615 squadron they were ordered to patrol over Croydon at 20,000 feet. While up they engaged in combat with Messerschmitt ME109’s which dived down on 602 squadron from 5,000 feet above this was seen by 615 squadron who joined in the attack. Kosarz’s Hurricane was shot down in the large dog fight that took place sergeant Kosarz baled out but his parachute was on fire and he fell dead on the ground near were his plane crashed he was 32 years old. His Hurricane crashed at Pennybridge Farm in Mayfield,Sussex.
