    This is a group of 4 parts which are a section and panel of aluminium airframe with some original green paintwork remains. There is also 2 internal engine parts which are both electrical parts one with clear maker marking and number the group of parts all still retain a lot of there original colour they have been very well cleaned the parts have ripped,bent and slightly damaged by the impact of the crash and are perfect for display or any collection the parts are 4-7 inches long in size. The parts come from American B17 bomber "Pickelpuss" number 42-30063 418th Squadron - 100th Bomb Group - 8th Air Force was shot down on 17 August 1943 during raid on the Messerschmitt factory at Regensburg in Germany. The parts come with 2xA5 laminated information cards with crew picture. 

    On August 17, 1943, the 481th squadron was the lead for the 100th Bomb Group which was assigned to bomb the Messerschmitt factory at Regensburg.The bomber was in route to Regensburg when it was attacked by a squadron of Messerschmitt 109’s. One of the German fighters took one of the engines on PickelpussThe plane couldn't keep up with the group anymore and the crew decided to turn around and fly back to their base at Thorpe Abbots in England. After about 15 minutes of flying, they were intercepted by another squadron of Messerschmitt 110's who managed to set the bomber on fire. Shortly thereafter the plane blew up.
